We are located in the middle of the beautiful North York moors. Whether you just want a short stroll or a longer round walk this is the place to be. Castle Howard and Hutton le Hole are just 45 minutes away by car. The quaint and popular market town of Helmsley and historic Rievaulx Abbey are just 12 miles away by car.
Great Ayton and Roseberry topping are the areas where young Captain Cook grew up before going to Whitby to serve his seaman`s apprenticeship at the age of 12 years and is well worth a visit.
Our menu is varied being part German and English. The food is freshly prepared and cooked on the premises. We have nine German beers all brewed under the German purity laws as are our locally brewed cask ales. We feature in the Good Beer Guide.
All our bedrooms are ensuite and are furnished to a high standard.
We do have one dog friendly room available also.
